1. Overview
AnimeHub is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can use many tracking and discovery features without creating an account. Some features, including community participation and account deletion, require Google sign-in.
We process information to operate the service, secure accounts, maintain community features, verify subscriptions, deliver notifications, measure app reliability and usage, and respond to support requests. Depending on where you live, our legal basis may be performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or compliance with legal obligations.
The public website currently has no AnimeHub account sign-in. It uses Google Analytics as described below, alongside hosting and security providers that may process standard request information such as IP address, browser details, and timestamps to deliver and protect the site.
2. Data stored on your device
Your watchlist, viewing or reading progress, favorites, preferences, blocked-community-user list, reminder settings, and widget data are stored locally on your device. This content is not currently synchronized to an AnimeHub account or database.
You can remove this local data through the app or your Android settings. Uninstalling the app generally removes it as well, subject to Android backup and restore settings controlled by you or your device provider.
3. Account and community information
If you sign in with Google, we receive and store the Google account identifier needed to recognize you, together with your email address, normalized display name, and profile image. Authentication credentials used by the app are kept in secure device storage where supported.
When you use community features, we process comments, ratings, likes, reports, related anime or manga references, and timestamps. Comments, ratings, likes, display names, and avatars may be visible to other users. Report reasons are used for moderation and are not presented as public profile content.
Do not post sensitive personal information in community content. Public contributions can be copied or captured by other people before you remove them.
4. Analytics in the app and on the website
Android app analytics
Usage analytics are always enabled. We use Firebase Analytics to understand new-user activity, approximate country-level audiences, app screens, feature usage, authentication outcomes, purchase-flow outcomes, and whether a user has Pro status. Firebase may also process app-instance, device, platform, and app-version information needed to provide analytics.
Our analytics implementation is deliberately minimized. We do not send your AnimeHub account identifier, email address, search terms, anime or manga titles and identifiers, prices, report details, or crash error text as analytics event parameters. Android advertising-ID collection is disabled for AnimeHub.
Website analytics
AnimeHub World uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, page use, traffic trends, approximate country-level audiences, and browser or device categories. The Google tag loads with analytics storage denied by default. In this minimum mode, Google can receive cookieless measurement signals for basic measurement, but the website does not read or write the Google Analytics client cookie used to recognize a returning browser.
Google Analytics may use an IP address at collection time to derive approximate geographic information such as country; AnimeHub does not receive the raw IP address from Google Analytics. If you chooseAllow analytics cookies, Google Analytics can use its first-party analytics cookie to provide fuller visitor and session reports. We keep advertising storage, ad-user-data, and ad-personalization consent denied in all website modes, enable ads-data redaction, and disable Google Signals and ad-personalization signals in the website tag.
You can keep minimum cookieless analytics, allow analytics cookies, or turn website analytics off. Your choice is stored locally in your browser and in a first-party functional preference cookie for up to one year, so we can apply it on later pages and across anime-hub.world and www.anime-hub.world. This preference cookie is not a Google Analytics identifier and is not used for advertising. If you turn analytics off, the Google tag will not load on future page visits. Because minimum measurement is enabled on the first page view, Google may already have received a cookieless measurement signal before you make that choice.
5. Crash reports and diagnostics
Firebase Crashlytics helps us find crashes and reliability problems. Crash reporting is enabled by default after the app loads your preference, and you can disable or re-enable it from AnimeHub settings. Reports can include stack traces, app and operating-system versions, device state, and installation identifiers used to group related failures.
We do not intentionally attach account emails, purchase tokens, media titles, search terms, or community content to crash reports. Diagnostic data may nevertheless contain technical context generated at the time of a failure.
6. Notifications
If you grant Android notification permission, Firebase Cloud Messaging may process a device registration token and installation information to deliver announcements and airing updates. The app subscribes eligible installations to general, airing-update, and announcement topics. Local airing reminders are scheduled and managed on your device.
You can control notification permission in Android settings and manage AnimeHub reminder preferences in the app. Disabling notifications stops their display but may not immediately invalidate an existing registration token held by the delivery service.
7. Purchases and subscriptions
AnimeHub Pro purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your full card details. To verify access and prevent fraud, AnimeHub processes the product identifier, subscription state, expiry and acknowledgement status, protected purchase-token information, and Google Play notification identifiers.
Google handles billing under its own terms and privacy policy. Your Play account may also retain purchase history independently of an AnimeHub account deletion request.
9. How long information is kept
Local app data remains on your device until you remove it, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to device backup behavior. Account and community information is generally kept while your account remains active or until it is deleted.
The website analytics preference is stored locally in your browser and in a first-party functional cookie for up to one year, unless you change the choice or clear browser storage. Google Analytics applies its own retention settings to website measurement data it controls.
Subscription-verification, security, moderation, and transaction records may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, settle disputes, enforce agreements, or meet legal and accounting duties. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the request and related obligations. Google and other providers apply their own retention schedules to data they control.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of applicable personal information. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
You can delete your AnimeHub account from the app. Account deletion removes the server account and associated community comments, ratings, likes, and reports. It does not automatically remove local watchlist data from every device, Google Play purchase records, or records we must retain for legal or security reasons.
For website analytics, use theto allow cookies, keep cookieless minimum measurement, or turn website analytics off.
For privacy requests or help deleting an account you cannot access, emailsupport@anime-hub.world. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before acting.
11. Children and security
AnimeHub is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and remove it where required.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated API access and protected handling of purchase credentials. No internet or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as AnimeHub changes or legal requirements evolve. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or on this website.
